Welcome to my life! I am keeping this diary as a record of my first attempts at teaching and living on my own. I am a first year teacher, so I am now in the midst of "content training." The good thing about spending all day reviewing what I just learned in school is all the free stuff! today I got a BIG BAG OF SCIENCE!!!!!! In the BIG BAG OF SCIENCE!!!!!!, I received a bunch of stuff. I now am the proud owner of two big plastic beakers. They each have a point on the top for easy pouring. In class, I pretended the beakers had beaks and were pecking the table. I was bored.
My apartment is still a wreck. I moved in about two weeks ago and I still have boxes generously sprinkled about. Gotta fix that.
I'm trying to get a handle on my bills. The only money I have is what's left from student loans. Very upsetting. Let me ask you something. How does my cell phone company sleep at night when they charge me so much for going over my minute limit? I don't get paid for at least a month with my new job and I won't have health insurance until the end of October. I am realizing more and more that teachers get the short end of many a stick. And I haven't even started yet.
